FELT REINFORCED CORNER JOINT TAPES (L-SHAPE)
ElastPro Felt Reinforced Flexible Joint Tape is a thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) based waterproofing tape, specially designed for the insulation and waterproofing of L-shaped construction joints in buildings and residential areas. Thanks to the felt carriers, it adapts very well with liquid waterproofing products applied by applying and creates a seamless insulation layer.
USAGE AREAS
- Corners between adjacent walls.
- Walls and floor.
- Sealing pipes and drains in bathrooms.
- In wet areas, showers, kitchen, water tanks,balconies, parapets, terraces, sealing joint in pre-cast panels.
- Cracks and cold joints.
- For direct application under ceramics, natural stones & tiles.

METHOD OF APPLICATION
Preparation of the surface to be applied
Application surfaces must be dry. Surfaces must be clean, strong, free from carrier and free particles. Layers that will reduce adherence such as oil, grease, dirt, paint, cement grout, rust, mold oil, salt flaking must be completely cleaned before application. The surface should be roughened by mechanical methods in the areas deemed necessary.
APPLICATION
A suitable waterproofing product is applied on both sides of the joint or crack (with the middle part remaining approximately 5 cm empty) and ElastPro TPE-Tex120 tape is laid on it before it dries. Care should be taken not to occur. After thewaterproofing product dries, a second layer should be applied on it and care should be taken to ensure that the felt part remains impermeable between the two layers. Care should be taken that the middle part of the tape does not stick to the insulation layer and remains idle, so that the tape will be able to bridge the movements of the structure. Cracks wider than 3 mm should be filled with suitable mastic before application.
